Ellie Goulding is a British singer and songwriter. Her birth name is Elena Jane Goulding on 30 December 1986, in Hereford. Ellie Goulding, a British singer-songwriter who rose to fame in the year 2010 when her smash songs Guns and Horses and Starry Eyed caught public attention. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding is a distinctive soprano scream, and an aptitude for writing emotional songs with uplifting lyrics. Like her predecessors Kate Bush or Imogen, she is at forefront of contemporary mainstream pop as well as artistic independent music. In the end, she signed a major-label contract for her label Polydor Records and began making preparations to launch her debut album.
