Sharp, who was born in Rochester, New York in 1962, studied clarinets, cellos, and pianos at the Hochstein School of Music. Sharp's passion for theatre in high school led her to the Boston Conservatory where she received the scholarship. Cum Laude awarded Sharp a B.F.A. Sharp decided to go into the theatre following her graduation from Cum Laude with an B.F.A. Sharp appeared in the Broadway National Tour of Carousel and debuted Off Broadway as Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind. In the comedy that was interactive, Eat the Runt, she took on eight different characters. Other stage shows include Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin', Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Sharp read alongside the playwright August Wilson himself. Sharp has been working on both the screen and the stage, is also engaged in several original projects. She continues to sing, and she has an album of her own currently in the process of being recorded. Sharp likes to stay fit and always in top condition by pursuing Krav Maga and boxing. Sharp lives in Los Angeles.
