Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada and is American. She has released over 20 albums. DiFranco has released more than 20 albums. A feminist icon widely recognized as Grammy recipient Ani DiFranco is the mother of the DIY movement being one of the first artists to create her own record label in the year 1990. DiFranco's parents, Elizabeth (Ross), a previous student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each other while they were students at the same school. Her father was Italian heritage as was her mother originally from Montreal. Her song 32 Flavors, was composed by her and is performed by Ani. It is a track from her album Not a Pretty Girl, which was her sixth studio album. The track was included in the soundtrack to the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999. DiFranco apologised in 2013 when it was announced that she would be hosting the three-day workshop on the Louisiana slave plantation. She cancelled it but many (including this paper) didn't detect remorse. DiFranco issued an additional apology just a few weeks later. Although known as Little Peoplesinger, she has collaborated with a variety of musicians and artists, from Pete Seeger through Chuck D up to Prince. New Orleans is where she is based. Ani has the name Kristen Ford. When she was 14, she had begun singing her own tunes. She performed them at coffee shops and bars throughout her teens. DiFranco started attending Buffalo State College when she was 16 and a half years old. She earned her degree from in the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts at that age.
